megatrav … I'm debating buying one because I don't have a proper amp after doing a bunch of trading and selling this past year.
The Artist 15 is much subtler imho. I really love the Artist 15. But then I was look for crunch from the amp, not metal-type distortion-- so YMMV! Joined: May 31, 2012 Location: Los Angeles. Blackstar Artist 15 or Fender Blues Junior? Design and construction appear to be close to a boutique amp. Just got he Artist 15 in last week and it's really awesome. The Artist 15 uses cathode bias, as opposed to the fixed bias found in the Artist 30. I've been playing for about 20 years and building guitars and amps for 10 or 15 years I did my research and went with the Blackstar. Blackstar Artisan 15. For me the HT20 is much too high-gain. Channel 1 has a simple volume and tone control arrangement, while Channel 2 has standard gain, three-band EQ and a master volume, together with Blackstar's familiar ISF control, which continuously varies the EQ network from traditional British to USA response.
