By now, you probably know all the ways to sneak into an “R”-rated movie — buy a ticket to another film then sneak in; go in to the PG film you bought a ticket for then go out to get popcorn and “forget” your ticket so you can then head in to the “R”-rated film; etc. So much so that anyone under 17 requires a guardian to get into the movie.
Can a 14 year old get into a rated R movie? They can contain any of the following: violence, drug abuse, sexuality, profanity, nudity, or other adult themes (among other things). If it were NC-17, then anyone below that age would not be admitted under any circumstances. I was wondering since this is my first time going to see a rated R movie if the theater even really cares that much? And if they refuse to sell us tickets will they let us in if a parent buys the tickets for us and then leaves?

Here are a few of the other ways (some of which I’m sure you’ve tried): Buy your ticket online. For R-rated movies, I think anyone is admitted as long as they're accompanied by an adult. If it were NC-17, then anyone below that age would not be admitted under any circumstances. What you should do is just buy a ticket to a movie that isn't rated R and is close to Friday 13th start time and then just go sit in on the one you want to see. Restricted movies contain adult themes in abundance. You are supposed to be 17 but i dont remember until recently anybody really caring that much. Me and my friend are going to see the conjuring tomorrow. So maybe you can get it or maybe you cant.
